Micro- and nano-scale device fabrication technologies continue to evolve rapidly, driven by increasing demands for miniaturization, cost efficiency, functional integration, and enhanced performance. This session, “Advances in Sensors and Microfluidics for Environmental and Health Applications 1/2: Sensors,” highlights the pivotal role of sensor technologies and integrated systems in enabling next-generation products for environmental monitoring and biomedical applications. Organized within the framework of the EU-funded COMPAS project, the session explores emerging technological directions and future challenges at the intersection of advanced materials and micro/nanotechnologies. Bringing together experts from key research domains, it provides a platform for knowledge exchange, community building, and networking, fostering collaboration while showcasing recent advances in both technology development and real-world applications. |
