Sodium-ion batteries are emerging as a promising and sustainable alternative to lithium-based technologies, offering significant advantages in terms of resource availability, cost, and supply chain resilience. This session will present recent advances in materials research for sodium-ion batteries, spanning industrial perspectives, low-critical-raw-material cathodes, innovative self-standing electrode architectures, and next-generation anode materials. The contributions will highlight strategies to improve electrochemical performance while addressing scalability, sustainability, and industrial implementation. |
