Recent advances in nanotechnology, biointerface engineering, and artificial intelligence are opening new opportunities for biomedical research, diagnostics, and therapeutic innovation. The development of engineered surfaces, nanostructured platforms, and intelligent analytical methods is increasingly enabling the study and interpretation of complex biological systems. This symposium will highlight recent advances that bring together nanotechnology, biotechnology, materials science, and data science, with a focus on engineered biointerfaces and advanced methods for the analysis of biomolecules and extracellular vesicles. It will also address the growing role of artificial intelligence and machine learning in the analysis of biomedical data, including spectroscopic datasets, physiological signals, and medical imaging. Organized in two complementary sessions, the symposium aims to bring together researchers working on advanced materials, biofunctional interfaces, nanomedicine, biomedical signal analysis, and AI-assisted healthcare technologies. The overall goal is to stimulate discussion on how engineered biointerfaces and data-driven methodologies can support the development of next-generation tools for biomedical applications. The symposium is funded by the project CALabria HUB per Ricerca Innovativa ed Avanzata (CAL.HUB.RIA) funded by Piano Operativo Salute - Traiettoria 4 |
