From Macro- To Nano-Scale: Innovation In Additive Manufacturing Technologies, Materials And Qualification 1/2
Co-organised with ENEA & Polytechnic University of Turin
Chairs: Giovanni DI GIROLAMO & Giuseppe BARBIERI, ENEA

Additive manufacturing has demonstrated the potential to reshape some key industrial sectors such as aerospace, automotive and electronics, enabling lighter components, faster prototyping, functional integration, and more flexible production chains.
This workshop will explore recent advances in materials, processing technologies and design strategies aiming to the integration of additive manufacturing into advanced automotive, aerospace and electronic value chains.
Talks will focus on:
• Printed structural and functional parts;
• conductive and dielectric materials;
• thermal management;
• hybrid manufacturing approaches;
• qualification of additive manufactured components.

This first session will focus on the development and optimization of 3D manufacturing technologies, feedstock and printed materials at different scale for the production of metal alloy components and products with advanced functionalities, addressed to high-value applications in key industrial sectors such as aerospace, automotive, energy, maritime, railway, defense, biomedical.
The latest advancements concerning AM technologies will be presented, among them WAAM, PBF-LB, DED, 2PP, DALP. Their integration from macro- to nano-scale will be also discussed by specific use cases, focusing the attention on tailored microstructures as well as enhanced mechanical and functional properties.
