TT.IX - Technical Parallel Track Sessions
EU Projects related to Advanced Materials
Co-organised with INRiM
Chairs: Luca BOARINO & Natascia DE LEO, INRiM

This session is devoted to the reporting activities of a few selected European projects related to Advanced Materials in the frame of the IAM-I Partnership, in the European Partnership on Metrology of Euramet and in EU QuantERA programme.
The project HyMetBat aims to develop a new hybrid metrology platform bringing together a combination of traceable analytical techniques for both ex situ and operando characterisation of battery materials, to enable innovation in next generation energy storage technologies. The project DINAMO is building a digital route for dimensional nanometrology - the science of measuring dimension, position, form and roughness at the micro- and nanoscale. Main focus is Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM), but the methods are designed to reach far beyond it - into materials science, quantum metrology, medical imaging and more.
The objective of QuantERA MOCA project is to pave the way for long-distance quantum communications between superconducting quantum (sub)processors with optical photons. The final goal of the project is to evaluate the operation and optimal design of a superconducting atom chip with integrated microwave and optical cavities for the coherent transduction of photons.
The EU 2D-ADDICT project aims to revolutionize nanoelectronics by developing the next generation of energy-efficient devices based on two-dimensional materials (2DMs). These devices will serve as the foundation for smart edge technologies, offering ultra-low power consumption while maintaining high performance.
