WHERE THE NANOTECH WORLD MEETS
WHY NANOINNOVATION?
Today, nanotechnology is one of the most powerful tools for enabling fast and sustainable development, with a strong impact across many sectors. The need to exchange ideas and experiences is at the heart of NanoInnovation, which has become a well-established point of reference for the national and international nanotechnology community.
The main goal of NanoInnovation is to present state-of-the-art research, recent achievements, and global trends in nanoscience and nanotechnology to a broad audience. At the same time, the conference promotes cross-disciplinary dialogue, highlighting new developments and applications. NanoInnovation brings together academics, scientists, researchers, and professionals working in nanotechnology to share knowledge, expertise, and perspectives.
INSIDE NANOINNOVATION / WHAT TO EXPECT
Over the course of the five-day event, plenary sessions, parallel thematic symposia, round tables, and dedicated networking opportunities will keep participants up to date on the latest technological developments and research results in nanotechnology.
To achieve these objectives, NanoInnovation will host high-quality scientific sessions featuring internationally recognized speakers, who will present recent findings, emerging trends, and technological advances across nanoscience and nanotechnology.
Alongside the scientific programme, the conference will also include satellite events and structured networking activities, designed to encourage exchange and discussion among stakeholders active in different areas of nanotechnology and, more broadly, industrial technologies. Industry will play a central role in this context and will be a key protagonist in the exhibition area, where the latest products and solutions will be showcased, fostering dialogue and collaboration between research and industry.
Thanks to its multi-level and interdisciplinary structure, NanoInnovation offers an ideal environment for developing new collaborations and engaging with experts from diverse research and application domains.
The event also provides a dedicated platform for interdisciplinary researchers, professionals, and experts to present and discuss recent innovations, trends, and technological developments.
As a result, the target audience of NanoInnovation is intentionally broad and diverse, encompassing students, professors, researchers, companies, associations, and representatives of institutions and public bodies.
NANOTECHNOLOGY ACROSS STRATEGIC SECTORS / CONFERENCE FOCUS AREAS
Nanotechnology represents one of the most advanced fields of science and technology, offering plenty of opportunities and applications. The impact on both science and production technology has grown rapidly in recent time and a further revolution is expected in many sectors. The conference will place special emphasis on the main sectors, such as energy and environment, agri-food, health, nanomedicine, nanotoxicology, micro-nano electronics, microscopy and characterization, smart textiles, additive and 3D manufacturing, cultural heritage & conservation and aerospace.
NOT ONLY NANOTECHNOLGY
Nanotechnology is shaping the future across industries, from agriculture, water treatment, and energy storage to healthcare, electronics, and advanced materials. As one of the most innovative and rapidly evolving fields of science, it continues to unlock new applications and opportunities.
NanoInnovation 2026 brings together the global nanotechnology community to explore the full spectrum of the discipline, from classical materials science to cutting-edge applications in soft and living matter. The conference embraces emerging areas and interdisciplinary approaches, reflecting the expanding role of nanotechnology as a foundation for technological innovation.
More than a traditional scientific event, NanoInnovation fosters cross-disciplinary dialogue, collaboration, and networking. The opening day features plenary sessions of broad interest, while the final day addresses critical topics such as Open Science, Open Innovation, and the translation of research into real-world applications. Participants will engage in discussions on shared infrastructure, collaborative projects, and the skills needed for the next generation of technologists.
A major theme of NanoInnovation 2026 is navigating the aftermath of the Recovery Plan (PNRR). With funding from the plan winding down, the scientific and industrial communities face the challenge of sustaining innovation, advancing research, and translating knowledge into impact. NanoInnovation provides a unique platform to explore these challenges, understand their implications for nanotechnology, and foster strategies for continued growth and technological advancement.
Join us to connect with leading researchers, industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators, and to participate in shaping the future of nanotechnology on a national and international scale.
SCHOOLS AND COURSES
Nanotechnology is expected to dominate the development of future technologies with impressive breakthroughs in many industrial sectors and an increasing impact on our lives. For this reason, update training courses and school will be held during the conference. As for the past editions, schools concerning various issues will be organized. NanoInnovation believes in the importance of training and in the need of sharing and transmitting knowledge at all levels, from student to professional.
YOUNGINNOVATION
Following the success of previous editions, YoungInnovation will once again take place during NanoInnovation 2026. In today’s fast-changing world, science, technology, and innovation drive development, and researchers play a critical role in addressing the major challenges ahead. The next generation of scientists is therefore essential for the future of our society.
NanoInnovation has always promoted science and research at all levels, encouraging exchanges between universities, research institutions, and companies. The conference supports early-stage researchers, helping them build their careers, participate in the scientific community, and benefit from mentorship opportunities.
YoungInnovation is a special two-day event dedicated to young researchers. Co-organized with the University Magna Graecia of Catanzaro, it will feature symposia where participants present the latest research and innovative developments from their daily laboratory work. The event provides a platform to share ideas, explore new perspectives, and evaluate the current state of research, particularly in areas of emerging innovation.
As research problems become increasingly complex, YoungInnovation aims to foster collaboration, stimulate discussion, and support young researchers in advancing their work and shaping the future of science and technology.
