NanoInnovation 2026 will take place in a hybrid format, allowing participants to join in person at the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering, Sapienza University of Rome, or remotely. The Faculty is located in the heart of the historic city centre at Via Eudossiana 18, with views of the Coliseum and next to the Basilica of San Pietro in Vincoli, home to Michelangelo’s statue of Moses.

The Faculty is centred around the Renaissance Cloister designed by Giuliano da Sangallo, one of the most important examples of Renaissance architecture in Rome. Founded in 1817 by Pope Pius VII, it was modelled on the leading Parisian and Viennese schools of engineering of the time.

In 1935, following the Gentile reform, the School became the Faculty of Engineering, with the mission of training professionals capable of meeting the evolving needs of industry and research, while promoting technological innovation across diverse cultural and professional contexts.

With a long-standing educational tradition recognized worldwide, the Faculty continues to combine historical excellence with cutting-edge programmes, including a dedicated curriculum in Nanotechnology Engineering, making it an ideal setting for NanoInnovation 2026.
