| Chair: Imren HATAY PATIR, Selçuk University | ||||||||
| This session belongs to the workshop on next-generation functional semiconductors, devoted to hybrid, organic and perovskite-based systems for energy and electronic applications and to the materials, interfaces and architectures that make them efficient, stable and scalable. It concentrates on the interface as the decisive element of organic and perovskite optoelectronic devices: the molecular design and functionalisation of contacts, self-assembled monolayers and charge-transport layers, and the way tailored surface chemistry governs energy-level alignment, defect passivation and operational stability, from light-emitting to photovoltaic architectures. It establishes the materials-and-interface groundwork of the workshop. |

| Part of the workshop on next-generation functional semiconductors — hybrid, organic and perovskite-based systems for energy and electronics — this session addresses the step where laboratory innovation meets industrial implementation: the processes by which functional layers are actually produced. Vapour-phase and hybrid coating routes, prime and conductive polymer layers, and engineered surface morphologies are discussed both as performance-defining steps and as the condition for reproducibility over large areas. Energy-storage devices are included as a complementary application of the same thin-film technologies. |

| This session concludes the workshop on next-generation functional semiconductors for energy and electronics, which brings together hybrid, organic and perovskite-based systems and the interface engineering strategies behind their efficiency and stability. It extends that toolbox from electronics and photovoltaics to the conversion of solar and mechanical energy into chemical energy, dealing with heterojunction and interfacial engineering strategies for photo-, piezo- and electrocatalytic hydrogen production, including the use of low-cost, abundant and environmentally benign materials as charge-transfer mediators and supports. |
