The HERITAGE-Lab of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Materials and Environment has its roots in the laboratory originally developed within CISteC, the Research Centre for Science and Technology for the Conservation of Historical and Architectural Heritage. It represents an important reference point not only within Sapienza University, providing support for and promoting innovative research and study activities in conservation in collaboration with colleagues and departments from both scientific and humanities disciplines.
The laboratory has long served as a key scientific partner for the Superintendency of the Colosseum Archaeological Park and the Superintendency of the Capitoline Museums in Rome. In recent years, it has carried out innovative and sustainable research within the framework of the PRIN 2022 and PNRR projects.
This session will provide an overview of the most recent studies, new conservation approaches, and future developments.
